At a lower heat distortion temperature of 5 to 6 ° C, after annealing, the stress can be eliminated and the heat distortion temperature is increased. If a small amount of α-methylstyrene is added during the production process, the heat resistance grade of the general-purpose polystyrene can be improved.

Since PS plastics are difficult-to-inert surface materials, they are bonded in the industry and require professional PS glue bonding.

PS is used alone as a product, which is brittle, and adding a small amount of other substances such as butadiene to PS can significantly reduce brittleness and improve impact toughness. This plastic is called impact-resistant PS, and its mechanical properties are greatly improved. Plastics produce many mechanical parts and components with excellent properties.
